About the Role

The Manufacturing Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations within the individual workcell and department. Key responsibilities include planning, scheduling, resource allocation, interviewing, staffing, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develops short-term plans consistent with organizational goals, including expense and capital budgeting, resource planning, goal setting, and prioritizing and managing time.
  2. Applies various manufacturing concepts and tools to develop a functional manufacturing organization that meets overall business goals.
  3. Cultivates an environment that stimulates new ideas, provides effective work direction, and motivates employees to achieve challenging work goals through personal growth, respect, trust, and empowerment.
  4. Fosters skills growth opportunities to build individual and team skill levels needed by the current and future organization.
  5. Represents company policies, procedures, and practices to employees and customers in a responsible and professional manner.
  6. Assists the manager in personnel decisions regarding hiring, discipline, and terminations, utilizing the AE performance appraisal process to facilitate and strengthen individual performance.
  7. Develops and implements structures that promote work team ownership of continuous improvement and corrective action processes.
  8. Collaborates cross-functionally with Production Planning, Materials, Purchasing, Engineering, and other key interfaces to review, analyze, and optimize new and existing products and processes.
  9. Ensures adherence to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care.
