Job Description

The Senior Human Resource Specialist will play a key role in supporting the HR department in managing employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  2. Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  3. Support the recruitment process, including job posting, interview scheduling, and candidate selection.
  4. Administer employee benefits, compensation, and recognition programs.
  5. Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  6. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  7. Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including employment contracts, leave policies, and employee conduct.
  8. Manage the HR budget and forecast expenses.
  9. Develop and implement succession planning strategies to ensure continuity of critical roles.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience, with at least two (2) years of experience in an HR role.
  3. Proven track record of providing excellent customer service and support.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  6. Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Strong technical skills, with proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
  8. Fluency in both written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
  9. Knowledge of labour laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them in a practical context.
