At SC Johnson Professional, we are seeking a highly skilled Associate Manager, Demand Planning to join our team. The demand-planning organization is responsible for developing a demand forecast, which serves as the basis for company investments. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating and managing true consumer demand signals to align the rest of the supply chain and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Maintain Demand Forecasts: Utilize current demand planning systems to create the best possible forecast using established processes. Leverage statistical feeds from the demand support hub to inform your decisions.
  2. Collect and Analyze Demand Inputs: Gather and analyze past and future demand inputs from sales and marketing, including distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products, and promotion plans. Calculate their impacts on demand and make recommendations to enhance business processes.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Partners: Work with various cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, discontinuations, and transitions. Evaluate assumptions (pre and post-launch) and provide insights on new product forecasts, pipeline fill, and cannibalization.
  4. Ensure Demand Forecast Accuracy: Work with the regional demand hub to maintain cleansed history in APO at the appropriate level and ensure a 12-18 month rolling forecast in APO. Ensure demand forecast is shared in the required level of detail and timing with internal customers and supply chain partners, with documented assumptions and forecast confidence.
  5. Drive Continuous Improvement: Influence and collaborate with key partners in marketing, sales, and finance to address input gaps as identified by forecast error/bias review and root cause analysis. Measure, analyze, and communicate key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Minimum of an undergraduate degree in economics, supply chain management, engineering, or a related business field.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain or Business experience, or equivalent FMCG Sales/Trade Marketing/Customer Marketing experience with a strong sense of numbers.
  3. Skills: Minimum of five years of demonstrated results and working in a team-based, cross-functional environment, preferably experienced with standard S&OP processes. Hands-on experience in demand planning and simulation systems or tools (SAP APO DP, Demantra or equivalent) is required.
  4. Industry Experience: Experience working in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Industry is highly desirable.
  5. Technical Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in PC-based applications (such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and/or Access).
