About the Role

The Quality Engineer I will be responsible for ensuring continuous quality compliance during manufacturing operations. This involves monitoring ongoing manufacturing operations to ensure quality issues are quickly addressed; providing quality alerts and leading containment and purges, when required.

Main Accountabilities:

  1. BUILD EFFECTIVE QUALITY AWARENESS IN OPERATIONS BY DEVELOPING TRAINING PROGRAMS AND INSPECTIONS THAT ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH COMPANY POLICIES AND INDUSTRY STANDARDS.
  2. Evaluate customer requirements, industry standards, and workplace safety to ensure adherence to regulations. Lead customer-facing quality initiatives to reduce Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
  3. FOLLOW PLEXUS QUALITY POLICY GUIDELINES AND CUSTOMER SPECIFICATIONS TO ENSURE REGULATORY COMPLIANCE. MONITOR OWN WORK FOR QUALITY STANDARDS AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT.
  4. DEVELOP PROACTIVE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT STRATEGIES TO ENHANCE YIELD AND QUALITY METRICS. LEAD CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS TO DELIVER CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES.
  5. SUPPORTEQUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTORS AND TECHNICIANS. PROVIDE GUIDANCE TO QUALITY ASSURANCE OPERATORS, GROUP LEADERS, AND TECHNICIANS IN ONGOING QUALITY IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES.
