Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the execution of Field Services customers' projects, manage project teams, ensure customer satisfaction, safety compliance, and financial performance, and manage customer relationships and third parties within project scope. The successful candidate will be accountable for project execution according to contract and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Launch and Planning
  • Lead and manage the budget confirmation and project profitability.
  • Lead the Project handover with the tendering team and Project file analysis.
  • Ensure Order Manager book projects are properly within ERP including invoicing plan.
  • Validation of payment mechanisms (letter of credit, bank guarantee, insurance, payment method, etc...)
  • Schedule validation and preparation of project planning and clear milestones.
  • Risks analysis and potential change order identification.
  • Send PO Acknowledgement receipt to the customer and confirm the 'Coming into Force'.
Project Team Management
  • Responsible for defining the project workload plan, follow progress in line with the scope of work and deliverables till completion.
  • Animate the communication within the team.
  • Ensure site activity scope & schedule is communicated to FSR manager/planner.
  • WO creation in BFS for site jobs and scheduled in line with the project schedule.
  • WO to be created at the project booking stage.
  • Manage project contract ensuring fulfillment of Schneider Electric contractual obligations and application of its contractual rights.
  • Systematic review of deviations against specifications.
Operational Project Management Success
  • Accountable to ensure full safety for involved parties all along the project execution.
  • Understand the project's contractual scope or additional requirements, be proactive to generate change orders to improve GM.
  • Time Management: Ensure the project schedule is made/reviewed/updated and monitor to ensure timely completion of the project.
  • Quality Management: Continuously monitor customer satisfaction and strive for improvement. Lead the issue resolution (hot loop) in the project and provide inputs for continuous improvement (cold loop). Proper customer communication and update.
  • Customer first point of contact on project team interaction (correspondences, emails, calls, meetings,...) to ensure consistent execution.
  • Ensure the project review happens at the appropriate level as per the defined project governance process.
  • Ensure timely reporting and escalation to manage project events/issues impacting project performance or compliance with governance principles.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control Project spending versus budget. Strive for gross margin improvement.
  • Identify and alert on execution risks. Be proactive in resolving issues. Escalate to Sales to manage claims & variation orders.
  • Accountability on project profitability (cost, cash flow & margin) including forecasting, engagements follow-up & re-forecasting. Ensure timely revenue recognition. Ensure appropriate actions to timely recover customer receivables (payments...) are done.
  • Ensure compliance with the statutory requirements.
  • Conduct if necessary, Lessons Learned session with Sales and Tendering team to share feedback.
  • Anticipate book to bill forecast estimation based on upcoming projects.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical) or any other related engineering discipline.
  • Min 5-8 years of experience in Project Management especially in Greenfield projects.
  • Experience and knowledge in medium/low voltage distribution.
  • Experience managing projects in the Oil & Gas and Utilities industry.
  • Experience in using Project Management software tools (MS Excel, MS Project).
  • Proficient in English and the local language (written and spoken).
