School Counselor

Job Title: School Counselor - Student Wellbeing and Guidance

Job Summary:

UCSI International School Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Counselor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and counselling services to students, parents, and teachers to promote student wellbeing and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students, parents, and teachers to address social, emotional, and academic concerns.
• Develop and implement guidance and counselling programs to promote student wellbeing, academic success, and social-emotional learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and principal to develop and implement school-wide initiatives to promote student wellbeing and academic success.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop strategies to support student success.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to promote student wellbeing and academic success.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in guidance and counselling.
• Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to guidance and counselling.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Counselling or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in guidance and counselling in a school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders
• Knowledge of school policies and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
