Compliance Leader for APJ Region

Job Description:

Tec D Malaysia is seeking a seasoned leader with expertise in regulatory compliance to join our team as the Head of Regulatory Compliance for the APJ region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in import-export regulations and compliance laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Management: Lead a dedicated team in the APJ region, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

  2. Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Establish and maintain robust compliance frameworks for import, export, and export control across all Tec D Malaysia companies in the APJ region.

  3. Import Compliance: Oversee import compliance in APJ, coordinating closely with the Global Director of Import Compliance on policy and procedures.

  4. Export Licensing: Support the Sr. Director of Global Export Licensing to ensure all transactions comply with U.S. re-export and country-specific export licensing requirements.

  5. Greater China & HK Compliance: Manage Regulatory Compliance for greater China and HK, ensuring Tec D Malaysia activities comply with U.S. regulations.

  6. Environmental Compliance: Support Director of Environmental Product Compliance for APJ, managing environmental fee payments and recovery as required by country regulatory requirements.

  7. Continuous Improvement: Direct self-assessments to ensure accuracy of import valuations, classifications, and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. Educational Background: A 4-year university degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

  2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  3. Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of import-export regulations and compliance laws.

  4. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with a track record of making impactful decisions and driving change.
