Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Management Specialist to join our team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Assist the senior/line manager in the production of all pre-contract and post-contract deliverables, demonstrating leadership and coaching to Graduate CM, and innovation of service and knowledge.
  • Contract Administration: Carry out cost management and contract administration duties with reasonable supervision and guidance.
  • Estimating and Measurement: Estimate, measure, and produce bills of quantity, and cost planning activities.
  • Procurement: Responsible for the procurement process from all stages in pre-qualification, including quotation enquiry, analysis, selection, and contract preparation.
  • Quantity Takeoff: Take off quantities of the tendering project based on tender drawings and documents, and source/ask quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors where necessary.
  • Progress Claim and Cash Flow: Monitor and verify monthly work done and progress claim, and assist in the monthly projection cash flow.
  • Cost Reporting: Produce monthly cost reports.
  • Client Interface: Take a cost lead role interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Post-Contract Services: Review, analyze, and produce variation order assessment, final account productions in post-contract stage.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management/Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2-5 years' experience in related fields.
  • Technical Knowledge: Excellent technical knowledge and experience across the full range of Cost Management duties, including Cost Estimates, Bills of Quantities, Value Engineering, Tendering and Evaluation, Contract Knowledge, Change Orders, and Final Account close-out.
  • Industry Experience: Experience from consultancy background, well-versed in civil, structure, and architecture/MEP and M&E.
  • Preferred Experience: Candidates with experience in Data Center/High tech manufacturing/life sciences project industrial, infrastructure, retail fit out, mixed development, and corporate end user/banking/office experience are preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Team player with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Language Skills: English language skills are required. Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence, and persuade others.
