Job Summary

We are seeking a Hindsight Economist to join our team in a centralized role. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the Overall (Production Planning) Model Validation (OMV) and (Production Performance) Lookback (LB) of specific/integrated manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the monthly backcasting/lookback process to analyze, identify opportunities, and present them to the sites to drive improvement in molecule management and profitability.
  • Responsible for making tool improvements, such as configuration/tag changes, planning case set up improvements, model biasing, etc.
  • Work closely with Site Sr Economists to understand the opportunities identified by the lookback analysis and execute the follow-ups.
  • Work closely with Modeling & Optimization engineers to understand the potential gaps in planning model, investigate further, and make necessary adjustments to the model.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree / MSc. / MEng in Chemical Engineering.
  • More than 5 years of experience working in Refinery/Petrochemical manufacturing site, including production planning and scheduling.
  • Experience with planning tools (e.g. LP models) and manufacturing economics knowledge preferred.
