About The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web and PHP Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications using PHP.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP web development, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure web applications using PHP and relevant frameworks;
  • Collaborate with our development team to identify and prioritize project requirements;
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high test coverage;
  • Proactively reduce technical debt by aggressively refactoring code;
  • Develop highly secure web applications by following defense-in-depth principles;
  • Mentor and coach junior team members;
  • Actively monitor services, respond to incidents, and contribute to post-incident reviews.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering;
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in PHP web development with good knowledge of software architecture;
  • Experience in working with small to medium-sized development teams;
  • Experience in MVC model;
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban) and CI/CD processes;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams;
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin languages is required, with Mandarin being a must for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients.
