Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Solutions Architect to join our team at Businesslist. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the digital insurance business and be able to apply this knowledge to architecture and design artifacts.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Applications Architecture in the Insurance/financial services industry and a broad experience with recent technologies and applications integration paradigms.

Responsibilities will include driving workshops on solution options with IT and business subject matter experts, investigating new technologies and platforms, and engaging with business stakeholders on digital initiatives.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating application technical design documents, addressing technical queries from development teams, and coaching development teams in best practices.

Additionally, the candidate will take end-to-end responsibility for technology solutions from design through to delivery and provide technical leadership to delivery teams.

Requirements
  • 15+ years in IT across multiple IT disciplines.
  • Prior experience in Applications Architecture in Insurance/financial services industry.
  • Broad experience with recent technologies and applications integration paradigms.
  • Recent project experience with UI/UX technologies, APIs and systems integration.
  • Development experience in Java & JavaScript preferred.
  • Recent experience in Agile delivery/DevOps.
  • Sound understanding of Architecture methodologies and standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of recent UI/UX technologies (e.g., ReactJS), API design (REST/JSON) and applications integration technologies.
  • Knowledge of data modeling/database design.
  • Sound experience with Cloud technologies - especially AWS - Containers, Lambda, RDS, etc.
  • Sound understanding of IT project delivery and agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Passion for new and emerging technologies. Ability to investigate these in depth.
  • Ability to understand business requirements in detail.
  • Ability to work with both off-the-shelf platforms and bespoke development.
  • Strong modeling & UML skills.
  • Excellent communication & documentation skills.
  • Ability to lead by influence.
  • Ability to work across diverse Asian cultures.
