We're currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as a Testing Specialist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering expertise and best practices regarding testing subjects.
  • Coordinating testing tasks – test initiation, script preparation, execution, and test closure.
  • Applying UAT metrics to manage test execution and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and designing test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results.
  • Executing tests using test scripts according to UAT plans.
  • Reviewing, managing, and raising defects identified during UAT.
  • Documenting test results in an agreed, common, and consistent manner.
  • Raising issues to the Test Lead that may impact time delivery or quality of the end product.
  • Preparing adequate test evidence and testing documentation for approvals and decisions.
  • Adhering to Global UAT procedure, using common tools (MF ALM, JIRA, Zephyr).
  • Collaborating with Regional and Global UAT teams for common tests, knowledge exchange, and best practice sharing.
  • Built and applying testing excellence and knowledge of anti-money laundering processes.
  • Executing other tasks requested for the operation of the test portfolios.
  • Participating in automation analysis and proposing tangible solutions for manual testers.
  • Accountable for all assigned automation deliveries.

As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant industry and work experience with minimum 2 years testing experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Technology, Product Processor, Compliance, AML policy, financial services, investment, and retail banking products.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity in problem-solving.
  • International experience in a multinational corporation.
  • Computer Literate. Proficient in Windows applications, ETL/DB testing, and experience with automated workflow tools (UFT/QTP), Python & Selenium.
  • Basic understanding of data administration within a database environment.
  • Min. Bachelor degree – preferred majors in Banking/ Finance, mathematics, statistics, informatics, or relevant professional experience.
  • ISTQB Certificate (Foundation level) required and ISTQB Certificate (Advanced level) is a plus.

  • Have excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Have superior verbal communication skills.

Technical Understanding

  • Strong proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications programming.
  • Ability to create complex Oracle SQL queries.
  • Excellent analytical skills to understand UAT requirements.

In addition to the aforementioned mandatory skills, candidates holding experience in Manual Testing, Python / Java Programming using Selenium will be preferred.
