Key Responsibilities
  • Consolidation and Monthly Tasks
    • Prepare and review consolidation adjustments for actual, forecast, and budget.
    • Perform consolidation proofing, including forex proofing and NCI proofing.
    • Assist in the preparation and review of workings for monthly reporting decks.
    • Review entities' management accounts for accuracy and highlight errors to entities' accountants.
  • Quarterly and Annual Reporting
    • Update Group quarterly and yearly instructions for issuance to entities.
    • Prepare quarterly report workings and sub-schedules, and update Bursa Malaysia condensed quarterly reports.
    • Prepare reports for approval by the Audit Committee and Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.
    • Prepare consolidation workings of selected notes in the group audited financial statements and assist in drafting the overall group financial statements.
    • Annual report - review and update the audited financial statements and List of Properties of the Group.
    • Liaise with external auditors and provide information and documents required for audit purposes.
  • Other Accounting / Ad-hoc Matters and Maintenance of Consolidation System
    • Assist in updating and rolling out working templates and ensuring the BPC system is updated for changes to MFRS/policies.
    • Assist entities' accountants on issues faced relating to the consolidation pack/BPC system and ensure the BPC Consol system rules, ownership, and translation are performing as expected.
    • Assist on ad-hoc exercises, such as computing the financial impact of acquisitions, liquidations, disposals, or divestments of subsidiaries/JV/associates.
    • Assist in attending to enquiries from other internal departments, management, and external parties on consolidated financials.
    Requirements
    • Education/Professional Qualification
      • Degree in accounting with a professional qualification (MIA, ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, or equivalent).
    • Professional Experience
      • Minimum 3-4 years of working experience.
      • Experience working in the consolidation team or audit experience with a client portfolio of investment holding with group consolidation.
      • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Added Advantage
      • Experience in property development.
      • Experience working in a listed company.
      • Familiarity with the BPC system.
      • Experience in a Big4 accounting firm.
