About Our Client

Hunters International Sdn Bhd, a leading Korean convenience store chain, seeks a highly skilled Merchandising, Senior Manager to drive product strategy and category management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies for various product categories, ensuring optimal product mix and profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to curate the product range and maximize sales.
  • Manage seasonal, promotional, and special event assortments in line with market demand, ensuring inventory turnover and minimizing waste.
  • Craft seasonal plans by category and store to enhance profitability and brand presence, while ensuring consistency of product availability across all locations.
  • Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and promotional opportunities with suppliers, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Implement demand forecasting and replenishment strategies to minimize stockouts and optimize inventory levels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in merchandising, retail management, or a related role, preferably within the convenience store or retail industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends, and excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with leadership and team management experience.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Compensation: MYR 10,000 - MYR 15,000
