About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Operations Manager to join our team at Sinergia Talents Sdn Bhd. As an Assistant Estate Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Estate Manager in daily estate operations and ensuring the targeted output and plan are achieved as set by the management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee Division Operations: Set by Estate Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the division operations and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Drive Team Work: You will drive team work towards company directives, ensuring that all team members are working towards the same goals and objectives.
  • Prepare Estate Budget and Costing: You will prepare the overall estate budget and costing, setting out the objective of the work proposal, progress planning, and direction are carried out in the manner required by the management.
  • Monitor Progress and Reporting: You will monitor progress and reporting of the work to the Estate Manager, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Ensure Good Agricultural Practices: You will ensure that Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and its standard practice are being followed by all employees in the work area(s) according to the requirement.
  • Verify Payment Submissions: You will verify/confirm payment submissions and ensure that all financial/claims/payments submission is as per the Company policies, and supporting documents are compiled accordingly.
  • Provide Training and Coaching: You will provide training and coaching to employees, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor Daily Cost and Productivity: You will monitor daily cost and productivity through costing book, ensuring that all costs are minimized and productivity is maximized.
  • Assist in Preparing Reports: You will assist in preparing monthly progress reports, monthly payment summary, and other necessary reports required by the management from time to time.
  • Manage Resources: You will manage resources including labour, machinery, buildings, etc., ensuring that all resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide Leadership Skills: You will provide leadership skills to estate staff to achieve the target and deliver a good performance.
  • Other Responsibilities: You will perform any other assigned role & responsibility as of and when required by the management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Basic Education and Training: Degree / Diploma in Agriculture or equivalent
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 2 year(s) of working experience in oil palm plantation and agriculture.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of email systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Proficient in the use of computers, including accounting software, database software, document management software and Microsoft Office, Good knowledge of budgeting and accounting standards and systems use in oil palm and agriculture plantation, Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, integrity, self-motivated with high degree of commitment and time pressure to meet deadlines and objectives with ability to work independently.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent time management, Pleasant personality, Good communication and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, Excellent interpersonal skill, Able to work with big team, The ability to work independently and seek help or assistance as needed, Self-motivated and highly organized, Distinctly dependable and trustworthy, with a strong and proven work ethic.
