Job Overview

This role is for a highly skilled professional to lead the operations of our data centre facility in Johor, Malaysia. As a Facility Manager at K2 Data Centres, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management support to our operational Critical environment shift team.

The successful candidate will ensure the successful operation, maintenance and repair of all critical environment systems while maintaining 100% uptime to all critical power systems on site at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage and be responsible for the designated shift team, ensuring the successful operation, maintenance and repair of all critical environment systems.
  • Plan the shift team's work activities daily, ensuring all aspects of the shift & facility are covered & monitored.
  • Prioritize and assign PPM's /TT's planned & unplanned work orders to your shift Data Center Specialists to achieve & maintain 100% compliance every month.
  • Adhere to all quality, health & safety, and environmental policies within the domain.
  • Coordinate ongoing maintenance and activities within the Data Centre for your shift team, prioritizing these activities in conjunction with the Critical Maintenance Manager.

Skills Set and Qualifications Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of working experience in a Data Centre environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the data centre industry, including development and management of data centres.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malay.
  • Excellent project, planning, change and time management capabilities.
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to use computer applications effectively.
