About the Department

The Technology and Operations function at UOB is comprised of five specialized teams that work together to leverage technology and support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralizing and standardizing technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Key objectives include ensuring the successful delivery of core banking enhancements that meet mandated frameworks and guidelines. Your role involves managing the development, configuration, and deployment of E-Statement applications (Statement, Letter, Notices, Advices & etc).

  • Project delivery management.
  • Develop technical deliverables (including system enhancements and upgrades) to meet project requirements within allocated budget.
  • Manage technical dependencies across different application teams.
  • Oversee risk management and issue resolution.
  • Provide regular updates on technical delivery progress.
  • Report to Program and/or Project Manager for strategic programs.
  • Collaborate with Functional Business Analysts, System Analysts & subject matter experts to implement functional and technical requirements.
  • Contribute to the specification phase with systems input (e.g., effort estimates, high-level delivery plan) based on impact assessment.
  • Ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security and control standards.
  • Partner with Development Manager to oversee application teams building enhancements.
  • Work with Test Manager to ensure quality results from SIT, UAT testing, performance/load testing, and application security testing.
  • Facilitate completion of penetration testing and remediation of findings with IT Security team according to Mitigation Plan.
  • Prepare technical implementation plan across application teams.
  • Coordinate technical implementation activities to ensure smooth production cutover and adequate post-implementation support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related Information Technology disciplines.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Core Banking application/Information Technology.
  • Functional and system knowledge in Statement or Reporting applications (ie. Letter, Notices, Advice & etc).
  • Strong team management and communication skills to manage technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Technical expertise in Shell Scripting on UNIX, Oracle Database, Engage One application by Pitney Bowes.
  • End-to-end SDLC and system delivery management experience for project implementation or change request.
