Procurement Executive Job Description

Glints is seeking a skilled Procurement Executive to support our engineering and marketing departments in project procurement, tendering, and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Tendering and Procurement: Assist design and marketing departments in project tendering, preparing price quotations, and project procurement/sourcing plans.
  • Supplier Management: Source, select, and negotiate with sub-contractors or suppliers to obtain the best rates and reduce project costs.
  • Purchasing and Logistics: Collect project site purchasing requirements, place orders, track logistics, and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
  • Contract Management: Certify sub-contractors and suppliers, handle contracts, follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery/installation, and manage purchase and payment processes.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Conduct regular evaluations of sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Documentation: Collect and document files throughout the procurement process.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Quantity Surveying, Engineering Management, Logistics Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Min. 1-3 years of experience in civil construction or M&E projects, particularly in industrial plant projects.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with materials, equipment demands, supply chains in China and Malaysia, device brands, pricing, and logistics processes, including tariffs and device certification.
  • Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
  • Language: Fluent in both English and Malay; proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
