Job Title: Senior Sales Engineer - Technical Solutions Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sales Engineer to join our team at TIME's Group. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives in Malaysia and supporting the sales team in exploring and developing high-value proposition business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base in Malaysia.
  • Represent the company in providing solutions to complex technical issues associated with specific projects.
  • Interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters, requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Promote and sell our products in accordance with company policy, pricing guidelines, and regulations.
  • Pursue new market expansion opportunities in high-value proposition solution businesses, such as CCUS projects, reliability & asset management contracts, turbo machinery upgrades / retrofits, and monitoring sense solutions.
  • Work with account sales to explore leads and develop opportunities.
  • Dedicate to supporting accounts to connect related resources for making and presenting proposals.
  • Closely follow related opportunities and move projects forward.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and customer satisfaction, conducting research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Promote our company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives, preparing material for contracts ensuring adherence to established rules and guidelines.
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients, ability to build rapport with clients and strong connections.
  • Account management for key customers.
  • Travel to meet clients with sales teams, covering whole Malaysia, as well as overseas by request.
  • Ad hoc, flexible to face any contingency plan, taking assigned activities organized.
  • Work with local sales staff on driving growth, promoting strategic products and services, acting as technical sales to work with account sales to explore leads and develop opportunities.
  • Support country/Sales team to achieve country/individual budgets.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies in line with John Crane Y-tree initiatives.
  • Utilize technical background to thoroughly understand our products portfolio and solutions, including their features, benefits, applications, and how they address specific challenges in various industries.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential customers and industries where our solutions can provide significant value, analyzing competitors' offerings and market trends to position us effectively.
  • Leverage your technical knowledge to engage with customers on a deeper level, understanding their pain points and requirements, and demonstrating how our solutions can address their specific needs, offering technical insights and recommendations.
  • Aim to support new products selling, turbo opportunities development, like DGS & turbo system in upgrading and retrofitting.
  • Dedicate to supporting accounts to connect related resources for making and presenting proposals.
  • Closely follow related opportunities and move projects forward, supporting account sales to deliver business results in high-value proposition products, contracts, and solution selling.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 5-8 years.
  • Sound knowledge of pumps & mechanical seals in Oil & Gas or Petrochem Industry, knowledge of API Standards.
  • Field experience in Installation, commissioning & maintenance of rotating equipment and vibration.
  • Self-driven & Result Oriented & Problem-solving attitude.
  • Market knowledge and industry connection.
  • Communication and negotiation skill.
  • Commercial acumen for business success.
