Job Description:

Cultivar Staffing & Search is seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our client, a rapidly expanding Telecommunication Technology company based in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will support the growth of our client by providing expert legal advice and guidance on all aspects of law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on all aspects of law, including corporate law, transactions, and compliance.
  • Create, review, and negotiate agreements and legal documents, ensuring they meet our client's needs and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Promote and maintain strong relationships with external parties, including clients, regulators, and external counsel.
  • Conduct effective risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Handle Merger & Acquisitions matters, ensuring smooth transactions and minimal disruption to business operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Law/Business Law from a recognized university and CLP (Chartered Legal Professional).
  • At least 5 years' experience in corporate law and transactions, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese.
  • Pleasant personality, good attitude, self-motivated, enthusiastic, meticulous, result-oriented, responsible, independent, trustworthy, ethical, and a team player.
  • Critical thinking, creative problem-solving abilities, and a pragmatic/business-oriented approach to legal issues.
  • Willingness to travel overseas for business purposes.
  • Practising lawyers are encouraged to apply.
