We are seeking a highly skilled Subsea Engineer to join our multicultural team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a Subsea Engineer, you will be responsible for providing structural and piping engineering solutions as part of our subsea engineering team, in accordance with subsea standards, procedures, processes, and project schedules.

About The Job

The primary responsibility of the Subsea Engineer is to perform engineering assessments of subsea structures, technical report writing, weight take-off, and cost estimation. The design scope covers subsea structures with piping assemblies, including PLEM, Manifold, PLET, FLET, riser base, and crossing support structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform detailed engineering analysis and calculations for subsea structures in accordance with industry-recognized codes/standards and best practices.
  2. Ensure technical and quality compliance meeting functional and design requirements.
  3. Develop technical project documentation, including structural, piping, and crossing design reports.
  4. Prepare MTOs and provide support on cost estimation.
  5. Review and respond to client comments.
  6. Review engineering drawings to ensure alignment with structure design and analysis.
  7. Assist in procurement and technical bid evaluation activities for long-lead equipment and components.
  8. Manage and meet on-time delivery commitments.
  9. Interface with internal and external multi-disciplines for input and design alignment.
  10. Support internal project studies as required.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Subsea Engineer with a recognized engineering degree or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of related working experience, good understanding of engineering principles, and good subsea engineering design experience (structural and piping highly preferred). Relevant experiences in flexible, umbilical, subsea controls, and/or SPS would be an advantage. Knowledge of industry codes (DNV, ISO, API, ASME, NORSOK, AISC) and structural & piping software (ANSYS, SACS, Autopipe) is highly preferred. Additional knowledge of Orcaflex and Abaqus would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and be able to manage work and interfaces within a project structure and organization. Good computer literacy with competence in MS office software is also required.
