Position Overview

As an Assistant Manager/Senior Executive Accountant, you will be at the heart of our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee various financial activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed financial reports and analyze data to provide strategic insights.
  • Decision Support: Offer critical financial insights to support key decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment verification, and collections. You will maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconcile bank statements on a regular basis. Your duties will also include managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

You will assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning and control. Additionally, you will supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness is also expected.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. MIA/ICAEW/ACCA/CPA or equivalent certification is preferred. A minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in an audit firm, is required.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and practices is essential. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is also necessary.
