The AFI Senior Governance Officer will oversee the Board Secretariat unit, ensuring effective administration and management of governance procedures and proceedings. This role is critical in supporting the Board and Board Committees in their decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage secretariat services to support the Membership Council, Board of Directors, Board Committees, and Management Team.
  • Ensure AFI's compliance with Articles of Association, relevant rules, and regulations.
  • Facilitate meetings of the Board and Board Committees, prepare minutes, and disseminate decisions.
  • Organize Annual General Meetings according to requirements.
  • Prepare high-level documentation for submission to the Board and Board Committees.
  • Develop and review strategic reports and speeches.
  • Provide guidance to business units responsible for technical support.
  • Communicate with Board members, Committee members, and focal points.
  • Manage and monitor budget for the Board Secretariat function.
  • Supervise, coach, and provide guidance to Board Secretariat staff.
