Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and process positions related to Corporate Action events
  • Revise communications and notifications for Corporate Action or Proxy events
  • Supervise a small team consisting of support staff
  • Delegate and supervise straightforward tasks
  • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, discipline, performance evaluations, promotion, compensation adjustments and termination
  • Create and monitor appropriate metrics for the team managed
  • Supervise overall operating efficiency
  • Apply working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts and in-depth knowledge of team objectives
  • Supervise the quality and service of self and others; network/navigate within the organization to troubleshoot escalated issues and bring appropriate closure
  • Identify opportunities for implementation process improvements, service or technology enhancements, and control deficiencies
  • Train staff on new procedures or technology enhancements
  • Create, develop and maintain business relationships
  • Find opportunities to reduce expenses
  • Make evaluative judgments to solve problems based on analysis of factual information
  • Exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical manner with tact and sensitivity to audience diversity
  • May act as backup for manager and perform other duties as assigned
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets

About You

  • You have 5-6 years relevant experience in Custody Ops
  • Prior work experience in a related job that would provide a basic knowledge of activities, policies, and procedures of the work area
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts related to the business
  • Knowledge of multiple types of investment instruments including: Equity securities, Fixed Income and Asset Backed securities
  • Proven success as a team player
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Able to work on Malaysia Public Holiday
