We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Specialist to join our team at K2 Data Centres, a company under Kuok (Singapore) Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our data center facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Facility Operations: Ensure the successful operation, maintenance, and repair of all critical equipment systems while maintaining 100% uptime on site.
- Work Order Management: Plan completion of planned & reactive work orders to achieve and maintain 100% compliance every month.
- Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, supervision, and handover of any project-related changes or improvements within the facility.
- Facility Maintenance: Ensure that the Facilities Operations Centre (FOC), FOC Library, Stores & Workshop are clean and tidy at all times.
- Root Cause Analysis: Work closely with management and the operational team on equipment failures and preparation of detailed root cause analysis and action plan reports.
- Procedure Development: Provide input into and develop site-specific procedures associated with maintenance and operation of critical equipment.
- Technical Support: Assist in technical issues, project management, vendor management, and technical reporting on all critical equipment and computerized systems.
- Third-Party Coordination: Escort and supervise work of third-party engineers and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with site standards.
- Alarm Response: Operate equipment, monitor, and respond to alarms and abnormal conditions in the FOC as required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service. Calm manner, able to work under pressure. Self-motivated, ability to work on own initiative. Punctual and reliable. Good attention to detail. A team player, able to work with colleagues and clients at all levels.
- Technical Skills: Minimum 1-3 years of working experience in a Data Centre environment preferred. Effective communication and proficiency in spoken and written Bahasa Malay and English preferred. Ability to work shifts longer than eight hours in duration. Flexible in working patterns to support operational demands. Good working ability on Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
