Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Specialist to join our team at AGENSI PEKERJAAN ASIA RECRUIT SDN BHD. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our databases and providing top-notch support to our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first- and second-level database support to ensure prompt resolution of incidents and issues.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of escalated incidents, and provide status reports to relevant parties.
  • Manage database changes through the change request process and provide regular status updates.
  • Monitor and measure database performance and availability, and implement proactive measures to ensure continuous operation.
  • Perform regular security patching and maintain a secure database environment.
  • Develop and implement action plans to ensure service level meets requirements.
  • Perform performance tuning and resource optimization as required.
  • Maintain a knowledge base to ensure database intellectual property is retained.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Professional Certification in Oracle, MS SQL, and EDB.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL.
  • Experience in performing database patching, backup, and recovery, as well as excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience in implementing database hardening as per CIS Benchmarks.
  • Experience in EDB Cluster management using EFM.
  • Good skill set in Impact Analysis of DB Change.
  • Able to provide prompt 24x7 support.
