- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including corporate tax, VAT/GST, and withholding tax.
- Establish, document, and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure financial data accuracy.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs and investment opportunities.
- Develop and implement cash flow strategies, optimizing the use of cash reserves and minimizing financing costs.
- Oversee bank relationships, credit facilities, and other financing arrangements.
Cost Control & Optimization:
- Develop and implement cost management strategies to enhance operational efficiency, ensuring expenses align with financial goals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead initiatives to boost profit margins.
- Collaborate with various departments to manage and monitor expenditures effectively.
Accounting Operations Management:
- Manage accounting operations, including account payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Handle invoicing and collection of outstanding invoices, identify collection issues, and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce overdue payments.
- Implement best practices in accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Financial Strategy and Business Partnering:
- Work closely with senior management to develop financial strategies that support business growth objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations for key business decisions, investments, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure necessary funding.
- Negotiate favorable terms for business operations, oversee loan arrangements and renewals, and ensure compliance with banking covenants.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in accounting and financial management required.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS, costing, budgeting, taxation, and internal control.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and capability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
- Experience in Public Listed companies an added advantage.
- Proficiency in financial software (SQL, AutoCount, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
- Resourceful, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strategic mindset.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team with strong commitment to department/company harmony.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet job demands effectively.
