Procurement Specialist

Client Profile:

Talent Recruit is representing a Malaysian-based food manufacturing company focused on preparing and distributing fresh, ready-to-eat meals. This company is closely associated with a reputable convenience store brand in Malaysia, supplying products to its convenience store outlets.

• Conduct market research, compare costs, source materials, negotiate, and purchase items in alignment with company policies.
  
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery times, and pricing to ensure organizational standards are met.
  
• Follow up on materials to meet production and customer demands. Manage supplier interactions to resolve issues with deliveries, quality, or invoicing.
  
• Collaborate with inventory control to handle defective goods returns or replacements.
  
• Implement continuous improvements and cost reduction activities in purchasing.
  
• Coordinate with the warehouse to maintain stock levels and ensure timely deliveries.
  
• Handle daily procurement tasks, paperwork, and administrative updates.
  
• Prepare monthly costing data and reports.
  
• Assist management with purchasing-related duties as required.
  

• 
  
• SPM and above. Those with a Bachelor Degree in related majors such as procurement, logistics, supply chain management, etc., would be an advantage.
  
• More than 2 years of procurement-related experience; have certain understanding and practical experience in procurement process, supply chain management, contract management, etc.
  
• Good team player, good communication skills.
  
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, and diligent working.
