About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our team in Kuala Lumpur Hub. As an HRBP, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR programs and solutions to support business objectives and overall organization strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with local leaders and people managers to identify critical business needs, challenges, and people trends; develop and implement appropriate HR programs/solutions to support business objectives and overall organization strategies.
  • Effectively manage special projects assigned in the HR area, ensuring project deliverables are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Provide support on workforce planning, succession planning, talent acquisition and onboarding, talent development, employee engagement, and retention.
  • Facilitate performance dialogues and improvement processes; provide support on compensation matters including salary planning and merit review, job evaluation, promotions, etc.
  • Work with people leaders to address industrial relations topics, in compliance with local laws and regulations as well as HR policies and guidelines.

Main Tasks

  • Consult with people leaders and managers in KL Hub to execute critical HR topics, focusing on creating a high-performing and productive workforce, and enhancing a change mindset aligned with the Business and Corporate Strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships as a trusted HR partner with key stakeholders within KL Hub office.
  • Coach managers and employees on people matters including performance, terminations, disciplinary issues, career development, covering office and production site employees.
  • Manage and execute BASF HR framework including annual salary review, performance management, talent forum, succession planning, talent program nomination, etc.
  • Discuss training & development and succession needs with people leaders; partner with the Center of Expertise (CoE) on Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Compensation & Benefits as subject matter experts.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related discipline is required.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of professional HR experience in a multinational company environment, specifically in HR generalist and/or business partnering areas.
  • Solid experience and knowledge in local HR practices and statutory requirements.
  • Solid HR advisory experience across multiple groups (Office & Plant locations).
  • A proven record of driving and implementing people initiatives.
