Job Title: Lead Android Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Android Developer to join our team at SYNERGY ALLIANCE SOLUTIONS SDN. BHD.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and deploying mobile applications, coaching team members, and exploring new technologies to drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mobile Application Development: Develop complex end-to-end mobile applications, including user interface design, application design, implementation, unit and function testing, and deployment.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as a technical reference/subject matter expert in all areas of the mobile application development life-cycle, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Agile Development: Contribute to the high-performance of the agile development life-cycle by ensuring productive, consistent, and successful sprints, working to reduce blocking issues for the team.
  • Technical Design: Perform the detailed technical design of applications and technical architecture components, ensuring they meet performance, usability, reliability, and scalability standards.
  • Team Coaching: Coach and develop team members to increase the team's bench strength and flexibility, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in regular design and code reviews with development team members to confirm the use of best practices and ensure high-quality code.
  • Business Requirements: Translate business requirements into applications by implementing the best strategy to ensure design meets performance, usability, reliability, and scalability standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Capable in troubleshooting of an application, identifying root cause, and bug fixing, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Application Maintenance: Continuously maintain and support any applications mobile application by identifying and correcting defects, ensuring they remain up-to-date and secure.
  • Technology Innovation: Transform new ways of working in the industry through application by thinking out of the box, exploring new technologies, and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring seamless integration and maximum impact.
Requirements
  • Education: Possess a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience: Mobile developer needs to have 5 to 7 years experience, whereas senior position needs to have minimum 7 years experience in mobile app development.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in E-wallet, E-commerce, or Online Payment System implementation, 3rd party SDK integration, Agile Software Development frameworks, cloud message APIs, push notifications, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge in near-native app development tools such as Flutter will be a big plus.
