Bank Islam is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an SME Relationship Manager in the SME Banking Division. As an SME Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for market and originating SME banking financing products, deposit products, and Takaful for new and existing customers.
About the Role:
- You will prepare credit proposals and obtain approval from the respective Financing Committees.
- Liaise with Credit Administration for completion of security documentation.
- Proactively monitor credit quality through early problem financing recognition and implement strategies.
- Work closely with other Business Development Units (internal & external) in promoting Bank Islam products and services.
- Manage disbursement and/or activation process, liaise with Sales Support Team and Credit Admin Department.
- Review customers' facilities and recommend course of action.
- Analyse changes in business activities or variations in risk profile and decide whether to maintain relationship or embark on exit strategy.
- Maintain and manage customer relationships, cross-sell bank's products and services, and monitor growth and quality of business portfolio to meet target.
- Evaluate adherence to and compliance with all internal policies, guidelines, and external regulatory requirements.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in SME banking, credit analysis, or related field.
- Strong understanding of SME financing products, credit risk management, and business development.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to analyze and interpret financial data and credit reports.
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships and cross-sell bank products effectively.
- Able to identify potential credit risks early and implement suitable action plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills to manage complex customer situations and recommend solutions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant financial software.
- Knowledge of internal policies, guidelines, and external regulatory requirements related to banking and finance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, with focus on results and commitment to high standards of service.
