The Cost Analyst will play a key role in supporting the financial planning and analysis team at Masimo. This role involves reviewing and analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement. The successful candidate will develop and maintain scorecard reports, investigate material variations, and conduct monthly stock reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and follow up on material variations to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain scorecard reports to track key performance indicators related to costs and financial performance.
- Review and analyze monthly job costing reports to track actual costs against budgeted costs.
- Conduct monthly stock reviews to ensure accurate valuation and reporting.
- Support the accountant during the monthly closure process.
- Prepare quarterly reports required for internal and external audits.
- Involvement in standard cost preparation and preparation of underlying data and analysis.
- Coordinate inventory-related activities with management and Inventory Control, including analysis, reporting, cycle count activities; inventory adjustment needs; and ensuring overall inventory accuracy.
- Multi-department cooperation to ensure timely and accurate inventory processing.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have good command of English, strong interpersonal skills, and strong cost accounting knowledge. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in manufacturing cost accounting, is also required. Additionally, experience with intercompany profit and inventory management, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and knowledge/experience in Oracle ERP system are highly desirable.
