The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement HSE Policies
- Design and implement HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate HSE considerations into daily operations.
- Lead Risk Assessments and Hazard Identification
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification processes to identify potential hazards and develop preventive safety measures.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are effectively communicated and adhered to at all levels of the organization.
- Investigate Accidents and Incidents
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies and senior management.
- Manage Environmental Compliance
- Manage and maintain environmental compliance programs, including waste management, air and water quality, and the handling of hazardous materials.
- Promote sustainability initiatives in line with corporate goals.
- Lead HSE Training Programs
- Develop and lead HSE training programs to improve safety awareness and compliance among employees.
- Foster a culture of safety by engaging leadership teams and ensuring consistent application of HSE policies across all departments.
- Advanced Certifications
- Must have advanced certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001/14001 auditor qualifications.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HSE roles, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Knowledge and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of local and national HSE laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with international HSE standards, such as ISO Occupational Health and Safety) and ISO Environmental Management).
