Expense Analyst

Job Overview

Zurich 56 Company Ltd is seeking a skilled Expense Analyst to support the regular performance management processes for the company's expenses. As a key member of the finance team, you will provide sound financial analysis and enhanced business insight to drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and analyze expense accounts to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  2. Prepare monthly expense accruals and FTE reporting with insightful commentary.
  3. Provide variance analysis and commentary on comparisons for regulatory reporting.
  4. Liaise with the Financial Accounting team to ensure the accuracy of monthly financial results submission.
  5. Analyze financial data and highlight abnormalities to the line manager.
  6. Assist in writing commentaries for monthly performance packs and segment reporting.
  7. Respond to ad-hoc expense queries and provide solutions to stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law, or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a relevant role.
  3. Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.

Desirable Skills

  1. Proficiency in balance sheet and Income Statement knowledge.
  2. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  3. Good sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
  4. Basic knowledge in SAP.
