Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principle Engineer, RBA, Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Western Digital Capital. As a key member of our Quality Assurance Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing site Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) procedures and ensuring alignment with Corporate RBA policies, goals, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement site RBA procedures and programs to ensure compliance with Corporate RBA policies, goals, and objectives.
  • Ensure site compliance with governmental and local regulations pertaining to RBA Validated Assessment Program (VAP) requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory and internal performance metric reports accurately and within established timelines.
  • Participate in the review of site RBA Code of Conduct requirements and ensure alignment with Corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with EHS, HR, QA, Supply Chain, and Site Management to ensure corrective action is taken where Labor non-compliances or environmental, health, and safety hazards exist.
  • Coordinate and prepare necessary responses for internal and external party audits (RBA, customers, third-party compliance audits, etc.).
  • Guide Factory RBA leads to implement RBA Code of Conduct for audit compliance.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with RBA on Code of Conduct updates and new requirements.
  • Actively participate in RBA work group meetings.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of prior full-time relevant work experience in Corporate Social & Environmental Responsibility auditing or auditing work auditors, or other involvement in an auditing process.
  • RBA Factory Lead certification is preferred.
  • Experience working with semiconductor product structures, manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and driving projects in Social & Environmental responsibility areas.
  • Working knowledge of global Environmental and Social responsibility standards and best management practices is highly desired.
  • The ideal candidate must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with demonstrated ability to work well with people.
  • A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
