Genting Malaysia is a global company that operates in multiple countries and industries. It offers a wide range of services including theme parks, casinos, hotels, and entertainment venues.

The company is currently undergoing significant transformation at its flagship resort, Resorts World Genting. This involves the development of new attractions and facilities such as Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park and Genting SkyWorlds.

The role of a System Analyst at Genting Malaysia involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions. This requires strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform software project planning, design, and tracking
  • Develop software from conceptualization to deployment and support
  • Prepare software test plans and manage testing cycles to ensure projects meet requirements and expectations
  • Evaluate software quality based on functionality, reliability, performance, security, and maintainability
  • Adhere to standard development conventions and good design practices
  • Stay updated on new technologies and their applications
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding project status and requirements
  • Maintain technical and business documentation and ensure proper management of project documents and codes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience in software development lifecycle (Waterfall, Agile, and Incremental)
  • Able to translate business requirements into system designs, solutions, and concepts using UML and flowcharts
  • Positive attitude, hard work, and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in database design and implementation (SQL/NOSQL)
  • Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), MVC, patterns, and enterprise architecture models
  • At least 5 years' experience in enterprise application development under Microsoft/Java platforms
  • Knowledge of TFS/VSTS or GIT
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, MVC, and programming concepts
  • Effective presentation, analytical, interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter with high attention to detail
  • Interest in technology and analytical analysis
  • Good command of English (verbal and written)
  • The role may involve light local and overseas travel
