Your Role:

You will join our multinational team of intelligent, motivated, and collaborative people and contribute to solving today's challenges. As a key member of the pricing R&D team, you will conduct regular experience studies for Southeast Asia Markets and support the effective management of the business.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the completion of experience studies for Southeast Asia Markets
  2. Assess and remediate data quality related issues and ensure appropriate data capture for experience studies and comprehensive data analysis
  3. Develop statistical analysis plans, code, and create new insights through statistical analysis of the data
  4. Produce regular reports and presentation slides for experience monitoring of existing health/life treaties, for internal and external clients
  5. Conduct research to develop/update mortality and morbidity pricing bases for Southeast Asia Markets
  6. Provide recommendations for pricing assumptions for business consideration
  7. Drive sustainable business growth through timely and insightful in-force portfolio management
  8. Prepare regular reports and presentation slides for pricing basis review and in-force experience monitoring, including briefing sessions for key stakeholders
Requirements

We are seeking an actuarial professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in math, finance, statistics, or related fields. The ideal candidate will have good progress in actuarial professional exams from a globally recognized actuarial association and 5-7 years of actuarial working experience, with pricing experience being a definite plus.

Key Skills:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in using statistical programs or database application (e.g. Access, Oracle, SQL or equivalent technology)
  • Highly organized and delivery-orientated with the ability to work with multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to analyze financial and business information to draw out relevant insights and factors underlying performance
  • Solid understanding of life insurance market and products
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and solutions-focused
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • Ability to challenge and enhance existing analytical methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and deal with multiple stakeholders within the business
