The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in automation software development, with a focus on vision systems, motion control, and robotics. They will work closely with hardware and design teams to provide software support and machine testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, test, and debug automation application software codes for automated machines.
  2. Collaborate with hardware and design teams to integrate vision systems with ancillary equipment, ensuring seamless functionality.
  3. Maintain software updates, revision control, and standardization of GUI, application, and module.
  4. Work with IT to integrate machine data into factory shop floor systems.
  5. Support continuous improvement of automation projects to meet product yield, quality, and customer requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Diploma with a minimum of 5 years' experience in automated equipment and vision systems, with hands-on experience considered.
  • Detail-oriented with good knowledge and experience in developing software for automated equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in automated machine software development for vision system, sensor, PLC, motion control & robotics.
  • Familiarity with OMRON PLC or other systems, Keyence Vision, Cognex Vision, Robotics, 3D vision imaging, etc., is an advantage.
  • Team player with ability to work independently, motivated, and collaborate well with other functional groups and customers.
