About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at ExxonMobil. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering and technical support on infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
  • Proactively build, implement, and operate services to enable reliable business capabilities based on the Microsoft Windows Server and its supporting ecosystem.
  • Assist with capacity planning and management, making recommendations for strategic decisions to optimize our infrastructure.
  • Lead/participate in hardware and software certification activities to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify and recommend emerging technologies that can be implemented to improve our infrastructure, while adhering to industry standard practices.
  • Lead collaboration with internal and external groups to evaluate and implement appropriate solutions for business needs.
  • Lead technical escalation of problem troubleshooting with internal and external support groups.
  • Develop and design automated solutions for related processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other recognized academic qualifications in IT-related fields with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Broad Infrastructure background, including servers, storage, network, and other related technologies.
  • Windows and/or LINUX OS experience and knowledge.
  • Service Now/Ticketing experience.
  • Operations Support Tools (DATADOG, SCOM, MOOG) experience.
  • Network fundamentals, including IP addressing and subnetting.
  • Able to troubleshoot infrastructure and application integration issues from tickets, email, or phone calls with end users.
  • Able to design, implement, document, maintain procedures, tools, applications, and utilities in support of the lab and production environment.
  • Fluent spoken/written English and strong technical writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage workload under time pressure and changing priorities.
  • Team player, able to work effectively as part of a global team and exhibit willingness to help others.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Self-starter and self-motivated.
