IT QA Lead

**Position : Quality Assurance Lead**

**Salary : RM 5,000 - RM 12,000**

**Location : Bangsar Kuala Lumpur**

**Working Day : 5 days’ work**

**Responsibilities**:
**Test Planning & Strategy**
- Lead and guide QA testers by providing clear testing direction, technical support, and reviewing automated test scripts.
- Oversee QA activities to ensure compliance with established processes, metrics, and quality standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and strategies, including test objectives, scope, environments, cases, and data.
- SLA Management & Reporting
- Define defect severity categories (Critical/High/Medium/Low) with associated response and resolution SLAs.
- Configure and maintain JIRA dashboards and reports to monitor SLA adherence and drive timely issue resolution

**Test Automation**
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or similar frameworks.
- Implement automation for various testing types, including functional, regression, performance, and smoke testing.
- Automate test environment deployment where applicable.

**Test Execution**
- Execute both manual and automated test scripts, analyze results, and document and report defects.
- Manage and monitor test environments and configurations.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, etc.

**Test Data Management**
- Create and manage necessary test data sets for both manual and automated tests.
- Ensure consistency and isolation of test data across environments.

**Defect Management**
- Log, track, and manage defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure prioritization and resolution of issues.

**Documentation**
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test scripts, execution results, and overall testing procedures.

**Collaboration & Communication**

1. Work effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, DevOps, and QA stakeholders.

2. Communicate test progress, status, risks, and issues clearly to project stakeholders.

**Performance Testing**
- Conduct performance/load testing and assess system behavior under varying conditions.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proficient in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium.
- Strong programming/scripting abilities in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with BDD tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Proficient with version control tools such as Git.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Pay: Up to RM12,000.00 per month
