About the Role

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Coordinates the design, implementation, and maintenance of AIA Digital+ Malaysia Information Technology (IT) infrastructure.
- Ensures the stability, security and performance of servers, networks, and associated systems.
- Handles and administers servers, both physical and virtual, ensuring optimal functioning.
- Implements and maintains server security protocols and performs regular system updates.
- Monitors and handles network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implements and maintains IT security policies, including access controls and data protection measures.
- Conducts regular security audits and promptly addresses vulnerabilities.
- Provides consultation to and collaborates with Group Technology teams to implement and support technology solutions adapted to local requirements.
- Maintains comprehensive system documentation, including configurations and procedures.
- Generates reports on system performance, security, and other relevant metrics.
- Acts as Level 2 support for the IT Service Desk and provides sophisticated technical support to end users and junior IT staff.
- Conducts training sessions to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and effective communication with end users.
- Stay ahead of with industry trends and standard processes in end-user support and technology.

**Requirements**:

- Shown experience in senior IT system administration roles in sophisticated environments.
- In-depth knowledge of server and network infrastructure, and end-user technologies.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies, e.g., VMware, Hyper-V.
- Excellent fix / trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in IT infrastructure project coordination.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead and coach junior IT staff.
- Good understanding and knowledge of End User Technologies e.g., Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Mobile Device Management (MDM), MacOS etc.

Desirable requirements:

- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and services will be a plus.
- Sound understanding of IT security principles and standard processes.
- Relevant certifications, e.g., Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) etc.
