**Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur** Professional Services/Full time/Hybrid Junior Front-End Consultant, GSC Guidewire Services Centre (GSC) was established to help meet a growing global customer demand for expertise in implementing Guidewire products, currently being used by customers who are household names globally. GSC is seeking highly motivated graduate/junior Digital front-end developers that are looking to work with current, leading-edge technology on challenging, customer focused consulting and implementation projects to join the team in Kuala Lumpur. - Job Description - What We Do? - Guidewire's market-leading Digital products enable property & casualty (P&C) insurance carriers to build and implement leading-edge sales and self-service digital capabilities. These capabilities provide agents and policy holders interfaces to quickly and easily create and service insurance policies. We are looking for enthusiastic graduate/junior developers who are passionate about building high quality software, and working with great people to improve our customers' experience for millions of users worldwide. - You will learn and master Guidewire's Digital products in order to implement and develop them for customer use. Each new member of the team will undergo Guidewire Digital Training prior to working on a project. Mentors will also be assigned to allow new team members to develop their technical skill and learn the Digital Best Practices. - Successful Consultants at Guidewire are typically: - A result-driven, and tenacious problem solver with a unique blend of technical aptitude - Possesses business acumen and demonstrates strong interpersonal abilities - Interested in building genuine relationship with the customers and work in a role that values communication and effective presentation skills - Curious and internally motivated to constantly improve - Effective communicators, ability to articulate perspectives and support ideas with substantiated reasoning, coupled with intellectual humility and a strong desire for continuous learning - Who Are We Looking For? - Fresh/Recent graduate with BSc in Computer Science or equivalent from a third level or higher education institution - 0-1 year of software development experience using web technologies - Knowledge of JavaScript and interest in developing a career in front-end development and consulting, as well as learning React and Jutro, Guidewire’s proprietary design system and front-end framework - Knowledge of CSS, SASS, and other look-and-feel technologies - Knowledge of unit testing fundamentals or similar frameworks - Exposure in software development lifecycle e.g. Agile methodology - Eligible to work in Malaysia and available for critical business travel if needed - Good English communication skills, proficiency in any other languages e.g. Chinese or Japanese language (spoken and written) is an added advantage - Collegiality - We value strong teams.
