Technician (Utility)

**Job responsibilities**:
The overall job scope for someone working with chillers, cooling towers, and utilities**.**

1. Operation and Monitoring
- Monitor the performance of cooling towers, chillers, and utility systems (e.g., compressors, electric boilers, HPAC).
- Operate equipment to maintain optimal temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
- Regularly check system parameters like water levels, temperature, and refrigerant pressure.

2. Maintenance and Repair
- Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, replacing parts) on chillers, cooling towers, and utilities.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues like inefficiency, leaks, and electric or mechanical failures.
- Replace or repair faulty components like fans, motors, pumps, compressors, and control systems.

3. System Installation and Commissioning
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment, ensuring proper integration with existing systems.
- Test new installations to confirm performance standards and operational safety.

4. Water Treatment
- Oversee water treatment processes to prevent corrosion, scaling, and microbial growth in cooling towers.
- Manage chemical dosing, filtration, and water quality monitoring.

5. Energy Efficiency Management
- Optimize the operation of chillers, cooling towers, and other utility systems to reduce energy consumption.
- Implement energy-saving measures such as adjusting load, improving system insulation, or upgrading equipment.

6. Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, including refrigerant handling, emissions control, and water discharge standards.
- Maintain safety protocols for operating machinery and handling chemicals.

7. Documentation and Reporting
- Keep detailed records of system performance, maintenance activities, repairs, and incidents.
- Prepare reports on equipment efficiency, energy usage, and any operational issues.

8. Coordination and Communication
- Work with the team and other departments (e.g., Engineering, production, QA, processing, HR) to ensure that cooling and utility systems meet operational needs.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for parts and specialized maintenance tasks.

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum Diploma in Facility Management/Electrical Engineering/any related field
- Minimum 3 year work experience in related field.
- Prefer someone who understand the motors, pumps, and control systems in utilities.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
