Utility Technician

**Job responsibilities**:
The overall job scope for someone working with **chillers, cooling towers, and utilities.**
- **Monitor the performance** of cooling towers, chillers, and utility systems (e.g., compressors, electric boilers, HPAC).
- Regularly check system parameters like water levels, temperature, and refrigerant pressure.
- **Perform routine maintenance** (cleaning, lubrication, replacing parts) on chillers, cooling towers, and utilities.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues like inefficiency, leaks, and electric or mechanical failures and repair it.
- Assist in the **installation and setup** of new equipment, ensuring proper integration with existing systems.
- Oversee water treatment processes to prevent corrosion, scaling, and microbial growth in cooling towers.
- Manage chemical dosing, filtration, and water quality monitoring.
- Optimize the operation of chillers, cooling towers, and other utility systems to reduce energy consumption.
- Implement energy-saving measures such as adjusting load, improving system insulation, or upgrading equipment.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, including refrigerant handling, emissions control, and water discharge standards.
- Keep detailed records of system performance, maintenance activities, repairs, and incidents.
- Work with the team and other departments (e.g., Engineering, production, QA, processing, HR) to ensure that cooling and utility systems meet operational needs.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for parts and specialized maintenance tasks.

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum Diploma in Facility Management/Electrical Engineering/any related field
- Minimum 3 year work experience in related field.
- Prefer someone who understand the **motors, pumps, and control systems in utilities.**

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
