**Position Description**:
The Country Human Resources Head will primarily lead in delivering HR services to the Malaysia Branch, where there are three legal entities and three different regulators and has the opportunity to work on projects for Singapore & other SEA countries.
You will be an experienced HR partner who supports business growth by providing efficient, consistent, and proactive HR consultancy and administrative support to multiple lines of business in the country. This will range from day-to-day implementation of HR practices, regulatory reporting, engagement with the Board of Directors, to involvement in critical business initiatives within a regulatory environment.
You will provide a value added, efficient, consistent, and proactive HR support to the line of business. The activities range from day-to-day operational assistance to implementation of critical HR initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- In partnership with HR specialist functions, you will support HR related matters, including but not limited to recruitment and termination, performance management, learning & leadership development, including talent and succession planning, compensation & benefits, HR policies review and implementation, employee relations and any other HR initiatives/projects.
- You will be responsible for HR regulatory reporting for the different legal entities.
- Work on the different HR initiatives which help drive the employee engagement of the Branch.
- A good understanding of Malaysian employment laws and any changing legislation and ensure any local HR practices are in line with the laws and regulations as well as global/regional policies and guidelines.
- Offer expertise and understanding of local needs and market practice in the review and implementation of HR programs, policies and procedures.
- Any other ad-hoc HR assignment where necessary
**Key Requirements**:
- HR experience within a multinational corporation, preferably in a Banking and Finance institution
- Solid knowledge of HR management and practices, operations.
- Be familiar with Malaysian Labor laws.
- Possess a strong interest in people and has excellent communication skills
- A good eye for detail and proficient in MS excel and powerpoint
- Strong consulting and relationship building skills
- A dynamic and excellent team player
- Bachelor’s degree or above
