1)Responsibilities
- Place orders for products or raw materials
- Ensure deliveries are accurate
- Help develop the budget
- Assess inventory
- Compile orders
- Monitor purchases
- Ensure purchases arrive on schedule
- Handle questions and changes in orders

2) Skills and qualifications
- Good negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to organize and juggle multiple projects
- Good knowledge of current business practices
- Good knowledge of office terminology and equipment
- Good knowledge of current market conditions
- Good knowledge of purchasing practices
- Good knowledge of bidding laws and procedures
