**Cafe Crew Job Description**

**1. FRONT-OF-HOUSE DUTIES**

**a. Greeting Customers**
- Greet all customers warmly and politely upon arrival.
- Assist customers in finding seats if necessary.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding the menu, promotions, or operating hours.

**b. Taking Orders**
- Take accurate and clear food and drink orders using POS system or manual method.
- Offer menu suggestions when appropriate.
- Repeat orders for confirmation.
- Forward orders promptly to the kitchen or beverage station.

**c. Serving Orders**
- Ensure food and beverages are presented neatly and hygienically.
- Serve customers with a smile and courteous gestures (e.g., “Enjoy your meal”).
- Provide necessary items such as cutlery, napkins, sauces, and plain water.

**d. Handling Payments**
- Manage cash and digital transactions with honesty and accuracy.
- Return the correct change and receipt.
- Respond to customer inquiries professionally and politely.

**2. BACK-OF-HOUSE DUTIES (KITCHEN)**

**a. Preparation & Setup**
- Assist in preparing ingredients (e.g., cutting vegetables, marinating meat).
- Cook or prepare food according to standard recipes and kitchen SOP.
- Ensure cleanliness and food safety at all times.

**b. Kitchen Operations**
- Handle all kitchen equipment safely and maintain them in working condition.
- Store raw materials properly and hygienically.
- Comply with all kitchen safety and hygiene regulations.

**c. Cleaning & Maintenance**
- Clean workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment after every use.
- Dispose of food waste according to waste management guidelines.

**3. CAFE CLEANLINESS & MAINTENANCE**

**a. Inside the Cafe**
- Sweep and mop floors regularly.
- Arrange tables and chairs neatly.
- Keep customer restrooms clean and stocked (if applicable).

**b. Outside the Cafe**
- Clean the entrance area, outdoor seating (if any), and waste bins.
- Ensure signboards, lights, and entrance doors are clean and in good condition.

**4. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Follow assigned work schedules and instructions from supervisors.
- Assist fellow team members when needed (teamwork is essential).
- Maintain proper grooming and hygiene during working hours.
- Attend training sessions provided by the management.
- Provide feedback or suggestions to the management for improvement.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 45 per week
