**WHAT IS ON OFFER**

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Field Operator to join the team. In this role, you will be reporting to the Field Supervisor and we require a suitably experienced Field Operator to be employed at our operations in Bintulu, Sarawak Malaysia. You will be primarily based at the Bintulu Port and occasionally at our laboratory in Bintulu. This is a hands-on role requiring a practical, pragmatic and flexible approach, in all aspects, to ensure successful team working. Successful applicants will need to be able to work unsupervised from time to time on a shift pattern which includes nights, weekends and public holidays.

Main Responsibilities
- Ensuring at all times that a high degree of accuracy and precision is applied to methods and procedures through incorporating and promoting good laboratory practice principles.
- Inspecting and sampling of biomass cargoes arriving at the Bintulu port.
- Monitoring and sampling the truck off-loading process into storage.
- Monitoring and sampling the loading of biomass into vessels.
- Performing procedures include Total Moisture, Sizing, Durability, Bulk Density, Particle Size Distribution on Biomass Products.
- Ensuring that all housekeeping is maintained at all times.
- Uploading data to a portal, in support of our client’s requirements in the region.
- Any other duties as delegated by Management from time to time.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

**Essential**
- Essential to be able to read, write and speak English and have reasonable ability with numbers.
- Essential basic computer literacy, Microsoft excel, Word
- Must be safety conscious and willing to follow all health and safety guidelines of the work area.
- Preferably a valid driver’s licence.
