Assistant Manager, Finance

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and monitor budgetary performance.
- Track and analyze variances between actual and budgeted results and provide explanations for discrepancies.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize expenses and improve overall financial efficiency.
- Identify areas of potential cost savings and recommend strategies to achieve them.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Prepare and submit periodic financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and communicate relevant updates to the finance team.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and coordinate with tax advisors as needed.
- Assist in evaluating investment opportunities and conducting financial due diligence.
- Support the development of investment strategies and financial models to maximize returns.
- Monitor investment portfolios and provide periodic performance reports.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic financial decisions and initiatives.
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred.
- Proven work experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of finance principles, financial analysis, and accounting practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industry-specific financial practices and trends is a plus.
- Willing to work at Simpang Renggam, Johor.
