Collect wastewater samples from the plant as per scheduled routines and ad-hoc requests.
- Communicate effectively with relevant personnel, especially those involved in production and wastewater operations, to coordinate sampling and monitoring activities.
- Able to prepare and conduct jar test for evaluating coagulant and flocculant performance.
- Perform scheduled IETS (Industrial Effluent Treatment System) monitoring in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests such as COD and pH analysis, including basic calculations and data recording.
- Assist in the preparation of samples for ICP-OES analysis, including processes such as grinding, dilution, and digestion.
- Replace and handle gas cylinders used in the ICP-OES instrument safely and responsibly.
- Maintain the laboratory in a clean, organized, and safe condition in line with good laboratory housekeeping practices.
- Able to conduct R&D for treatment purpose.
- Support the sample preparation team by following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and safe handling of laboratory glassware and equipment, including the proper use of micropipettes and measuring instruments.
- Understands basic QC procedures including sampling, testing, and documentation.

**Qualification & Skill Requirements**:

- Diploma in Science or Chemistry and above or a relevant experience in the particular field is required.
- Must have knowledge and training in biology, environmental science, chemistry, or a closely related field.
- Must have skill in the operation of a variety of lab equipment, pumps, gauges, and other common tools.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the operation, methods, and procedures of a wastewater treatment plant.
- Have a thorough understanding on DOE standard and requirements governing wastewater discharge.
- Have a working knowledge of the machinery used for wastewater treatment
- Must be able to assess problems and situations, able to anticipate needs and evaluate alternatives.
- Have the ability to work with independence and to make routine decisions on the operation of the plant processes and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
